Originally from Ottawa, Canadian tenor Matt Chittick is an alumnus of the Calgary Opera Emerging Artist Program 2016-2017. He completed his Master of Music at the University of British Columbia and his Bachelor of Music at McGill University. Praised as having a “clear and vibrant” tenor (Opera Canada), Matt is very active on both the concert and operatic stage, in Canada as well as internationally.

Throughout his career, Matt has performed with companies such as Calgary Opera, Portland Opera, Cowtown Opera, Fraser Lyric Opera, and many others. Some recent role highlights include: Prince Charming (Cinderella), Sylvio/Pasquin (Docteur Miracle), Ivan (Die Fledermaus), Almaviva (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Ramiro (Ella/La Cenerentola), Nemorino (The Elixir of Love), Bénédict (Béatrice et Bénédict), Jeník (The Bartered Bride), and Ernesto (Don Pasquale).

From March to May 2018, Matt will be performing the role of Albert Lennox in Theatre Calgary’s production of The Secret Garden.

Originaire d'Ottawa, ténor Matt Chittick était membre du Calgary Opera Emerging Artist Program pour la saison 2016 - 2017. Il a terminé son baccalauréat en musique à McGill et sa maîtrise à l'université de Colombie-Britannique. Dit d'avoir un timbre 'clair et vibrant' (Opera Canada), Matt est très actif comme soliste en concert et à l'opéra au Canada et à l'étranger.

Au cours da sa carrière, il a chanté entre autres avec Calgary Opera, Portland Opera, Cowtown Opera et Fraser Lyric Opera.
